As part of its mission to foster inclusive and people-centric deployment of connected and automated mobility (CCAM) systems, the SINFONICA project developed a set of common guidelines for conducting user surveys across Europe.
This document outlines a harmonised approach for understanding citizens’ expectations, barriers, motivations, and concerns related to CCAM. It provides practical recommendations on how to engage a diverse range of users — including vulnerable groups — through accessible and context-sensitive methodologies.
For PAVE Europe, these guidelines are particularly relevant as we work to bridge the gap between technology developers, policymakers, and the public. We believe user insights are foundational for building trust in automated mobility solutions.
