Bolt joins PAVE Europe to Build Public Understanding of Autonomous Vehicles across Europe

Tallinn / Brussels [05/02/2026] – Bolt, Europe’s leading mobility platform, today announced that it has joined Partners for Automated Vehicle Education Europe (PAVE Europe), a coalition of industry leaders, non-profits and academic institutions working to educate the public and policymakers on automated vehicle (AV) technologies.

Bolt’s membership to PAVE Europe comes after the company signed its first AV partnerships last year with Pony.ai, a global leader in autonomous driving systems, and Stellantis, one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers. These partnerships mark the beginning of Bolt’s approach to autonomous mobility: working closely with leading technology and automotive partners while continuing to build new relationships across the AV ecosystem. In doing so, Bolt is aiming to provide a full-stack solution for autonomous driving tailored for Europe with the long-term goal of having 100,000 autonomous vehicles available on the Bolt platform by 2035.

Founded in Estonia in 2013, Bolt has an extensive mobility network of millions of customers and vehicles and a full understanding of European transport systems and safety standards. By joining PAVE Europe, Bolt will support informed, evidence-based discussions around AV safety, regulation and real-world deployment, helping cities and consumers better understand how the technology can be introduced responsibly at scale.

Jevgeni Kabanov, President and Head of Autonomous Driving at Bolt, said: “Autonomous vehicles will fundamentally change how people and things move around cities and Europe needs to be ready for this transformation. The technology is ready, but to succeed in Europe AVs need public trust, clear regulation and operators who understand how European cities actually work. PAVE Europe plays an important role in that conversation, and we’re proud to contribute and share our experience and learnings from operating transport services across Europe for more than a decade.”

Guido Di Pasquale, Managing Director at PAVE Europe said: “Bolt joining PAVE Europe reflects the growing importance of education as new mobility services scale across Europe. Our mission at PAVE Europe is to help ensure that innovation delivers real impact – for cities, users and society as a whole – by strengthening understanding, trust, and collaboration. We are proud to welcome Bolt to our community, and look forward to working together to advance informed discussions on how automated mobility solutions can support safer, more sustainable, inclusive, and efficient transport systems across Europe.”
