PAVE Europe's Study Visits offer members and partners a unique opportunity to learn from real-world examples of how autonomous vehicle technology is being implemented both in Europe and around the world. These visits are designed to inspire, inform, and create meaningful connections between practitioners, industry, policymakers, and communities.

What are study visits?

Study visits are immersive experiences hosted in cities or regions that are advancing the implementation and adoption of autonomous vehicle technology. Participants engage with local leaders, explore the technology firsthand, and take part in interactive discussions.

August 2024 | Los Angeles, USA.

The Waymo team welcomed a delegation of predominantly European organisations to their headquarters before an exciting ride on the streets of Los Angeles in August 2024 following the Automated Road Transportation Symposium (ARTS) Conference. 

Study Visit to Waymo and Cruise

July 2023 | San Francisco, USA.

Waymo and Cruise welcomed a European delegation to experience rides of their  self-driving vehicles. The absence of a safety driver in mixed traffic on the streets of San Francisco demonstrated the remarkable strides in autonomous technology. the efforts of Waymo’s team.
