PAVE Virtual Panel: Accessible Infrastructure and AVs

PAVE Virtual Panel: Accessible Infrastructure and AVs

One of the most promising aspects of autonomous vehicles is the potential to offer personal autonomy to people who are not well-served by today’s car-centric mobility system. But radically transforming accessibility and providing personal mobility for all will require more than just AVs; it will require accessible infrastructure to support the vehicles. In this PAVE virtual panel, we will talk to leaders from the U.S. Access Board and the Autonomous Vehicle Alliance to explore the broader ecosystem of technology and infrastructure required to make personal mobility truly universal.

Panelists

  • Randall Duchesneau Accessibility Specialist, U.S. Access Board
  • Juliet Shoultz – Transportation Systems Engineer, U.S. Access Board
  • Tim Woods – General Manager, Autonomous Vehicle Alliance (AVA)
