PAVE Virtual Panel: Securing Automated Vehicles Against Cyber Threats

PAVE Virtual Series

The ninth panel in PAVE’s series of conversations – “Securing Automated Vehicles Against Cyber Threats” – featured panelists from BlackBerry, STEER, and Johns Hopkins University. This panel began by looking at what realistic threats to automated vehicles are, what might motivate them, and where these threats will focus. From there we discussed what steps companies in the space are taking to protect against those threats, both proactively and in real time, from fostering relationships with the “white hat” security community to the design and features of the systems themselves.

Panelists:

  • Jeff Davis – BlackBerry, Senior Director of Government Relations and Public Policy
  • Anuja Sonalker – STEER, CEO
  • Dr. Bradley Potteiger – Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Embedded Exploitation Researcher

You can view recordings of all of PAVE’s virtual panels on the PAVE YouTube channel.
