When Humans Meet Automation: ADAS and Nomenclature
Over 90% of new vehicles sold today have at least one advanced driver assistance technology, but there are often dozens of names used by different manufacturers to identify a single ADAS feature. Several leading safety organizations joined forces to propose a standardized naming system to reduce confusion and help to educate consumers about the benefits, limitations, and proper usage of these technologies.
On August 5, representatives of three of these organizations — AAA, Consumer Reports, and the National Safety Council — will join our virtual panel to discuss their nomenclature initiative and how it can help to improve safety on our roadways.
Please join us for this discussion, and send us any questions you have about ADAS terminology!
