PAVE Europe announces new Managing Director

Partners for Automated Vehicle Education Europe (PAVE Europe) is pleased to announce the appointment of Guido Di Pasquale as Managing Director.

Prior to joining PAVE Europe, Guido was Co-Director of Knowledge and Innovation at the International Association of Public Transport (UITP). He has 20 years of experience in the transport and automation field, specialising in Intelligent Transport Systems, integrated mobility, research and innovation, strategy and policy.

“I am so excited to lead PAVE Europe and help our members to create a future with automated vehicles that increases safety, efficiency and sustainable mobility,” Guido said.  “With an ever-increasing number of headlines and forecasts creating confusion around automated vehicle technology, PAVE Europe will play an important role in casting a light into this fog.”

“PAVE Europe has assembled an amazing team of co-founding organizations from across the industry. On behalf of these co-founders of PAVE Europe, I’m truly pleased that we have now found a passionate expert and accomplished leader, who will guide the organization forward,” said Lukas Neckermann, co-initiator of PAVE Europe.

PAVE Europe (Partners for Automated Vehicle Education) is a European not-for-profit organization, based in Brussels, which is focused on educating the public about the benefits of automated and fully autonomous vehicle systems.

PAVE Europe was founded in 2022 by Achmea, EasyMile, Mobileye, Swiss Re, TÜV Rheinland, Waymo, and PAVE International, with the support of Neckermann Strategic Advisors and the University of St. Gallen. PAVE Europe is a sister-organization to PAVE, founded in the US in 2019, with over 90 member organisations across the automated vehicle ecosystem.
