Brussels, Belgium [03/09/2024] – Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE) Europe, a non-profit coalition dedicated to promoting public understanding and awareness of automated vehicle (AV) technology, is delighted to announce that MOIA, an innovator in the mobility sector has joined as a new Board member. MOIA’s expertise and work within the mobility sector will be instrumental in advancing PAVE Europe’s mission to educate and inform the public about the benefits and potential of AV technology.
Together with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, MOIA is developing an autonomous, internationally scalable ridepooling system that intends to enhance public transport systems in European cities. The operating platform for electric, autonomous fleets ensures a safe, efficient, and sustainable service, and therefore addresses some of the most pressing challenges faced by modern urban environments.
“Joining PAVE Europe’s Board of Directors aligns perfectly with MOIA’s mission to improve urban public transport through autonomous ridepooling,” said Christoph Ziegenmeyer, VP Communications and Public Affairs at MOIA as well as new member of the Board of Directors at PAVE Europe. “We are excited to collaborate with PAVE Europe to promote the adoption of autonomous driving, ultimately leading to more liveable cities.”
“MOIA’s approach to urban mobility, and their advancements in autonomous vehicle technology make them a valuable member to PAVE Europe,” said Guido Di Pasquale, Managing Director of PAVE Europe. “They are committed to reducing urban congestion and emissions, which aligns with our goal of promoting the societal benefits of AV technology. We are thrilled to have MOIA as a new member of our Board of Directors, and look forward to their contribution in shaping the future of urban public transport.”
As a coalition of international industry leaders and experts in the mobility sector, PAVE Europe aims to educate the public about automated vehicle technology to the public. Welcoming MOIA will strengthen PAVE Europe’s efforts to build a future where AVs are an integral part of urban mobility, contributing to fostering smarter, greener, and more efficient transport solutions.
