Join us for an evening of networking, tech talks and conversation with Aurora, City of Pittsburgh and PAVE (Partners for Automated Vehicle Education) to learn more about the benefits of self-driving technology to cities and people.

Aurora

Sterling Anderson – Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Aurora will talk about Aurora’s unique approach to the challenge of designing and building self-driving vehicles. Aurora is delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. By solving today’s most complex AI, automation, and engineering challenges, Aurora is focused on positively impacting cities and people by improving transportation and increasing access to mobility.

City of Pittsburgh

Karina Ricks is the inaugural director of the new Department of Mobility and Infrastructure for the City of Pittsburgh. She’ll join us to share key initiatives around the city’s plan for a “complete network” that serves all modes of transportation and encourages more sustainable travel choices plus programs to manage emerging transportation including shared services and autonomous vehicles.

PAVE (Partners for Automated Vehicle Education)

Tara Andringa, PAVE Coalition manager, will share details on what PAVE is doing and the partnership with SAE to bring “hands on” demonstrations to cities across the nation. Newly launched on January 7, 2019 at CES, PAVE is a broad coalition of leading industry, non-profit and academic institutions seeking to inform the public and policymakers about the potential and the reality of advanced vehicle technologies and automated vehicles.
