Professor Talbott is an innovative strategist, transportation executive and motivational speaker. Currently, she is researching and educating on autonomous vehicle policy, impacts on governments, OEMs and regulatory stakeholder communities. From autonomous vehicles to politics, she has written and spoken about public policy regarding transportation and innovation as well as provided strategic assistance for transportation associations and companies. Formerly the Deputy Administrator for the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, she has over 18 years experience as an attorney.

PAVE: What challenges do you see in improving public education about automated vehicles?

The biggest barrier to public acceptance of AVs is a lack of public engagement and understanding about the safety and capability of AVs on public roadways.
