The workshop focused on inclusion and automated public transport. Attendees were tasked with considering the needs of a different personas, how automated vehicles might serve them and policy recommendations. The design of the personas was based on SINFONICA’s user profiles and mobility needs mapping.

Nicola also moderated a session titled “Redefining user-centric CCAM innovation” as part of the Diversify-CCAM and joined a panel on “CCAM questions, their answers – breaking barriers to deployment“, which addressed key challenges and opportunities for practical, inclusive AV deployment.

At the UITP Summit 2025, PAVE Europe proudly showcased the momentum behind autonomous public transport – and the growing role of our network in shaping it.

We launched our new white paper, The Future of Public Transportation: Embracing Autonomous Mobility, and joined a diverse programme of panels including: Autonomous in Motion: Lessons Learned and Paths to Future Integration, A Changing Landscape for Jobs? Automated Mobility on a Large Scale, and The Future of Public Transportation: Embracing Autonomous Mobility.

We were also part of a thematic guided tour highlighting technologies in automation and mobility, and co-led a workshop for the CCAM-ERAS project on the skills needed for the transition to autonomous and connected mobility. Read the full event recap here.

Guido Di Pasquale joined an insightful panel discussion on “Public Acceptance through Safety” at Autonomy AV European Summit in London this July. The conversation highlighted how safety is fundamental to building and sustaining public trust in AV deployment.

PAVE Europe members and partners were also in attendance, including: EasyMile, FISITA, Holo, Imagry, LOXO, Mobileye, MOIA, Neckermann Strategic Advisors, Oxa, Poppy Mobility, Ruter As, Simulytic, Smart Mobility Living Lab: London, Transdev, TRL, and Waymo.

PAVE Europe New Members

PAVE Europe is growing – and we are thrilled to welcome twelve new members to our coalition since the start of 2025: Pony.ai, HOLON, Deutsche Bahn, Imagry, AustriaTech, Leonard with Vinci, rms GmbH (Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund Servicegesellschaft), Embotech, schwarzenberg.tech, Motor Insurers’ Bureau, and LOXO.
